Stewed Plum Breakfast Bowl

A beautiful way to start the day!

  • Halve the Terra Madre plums, and de-pip them, trying to keep their shape if possible. Sprinkle them (cut side up) with a bit of sugar, honey or maple.
  • Place a pan over medium heat with some oil. Add the plums, cut side down, to the hot pan with some cinnamon or nutmeg (optional), if you have on hand. Heck, throw on a touch of salt for that little kick.
  • Cook gently, and tenderly, until the fruit is soft and warm.
  • Layer up your favourite granola with yogurt and top with the softened stewed plums.
  • Dig in and enjoy.


Plums are packed with vitamin C. Vitamin C helps your body heal, build muscle, form blood vessels and assist with eye health. Plums are also high in fibre which is good for gut health and helps control your blood sugar levels due to their low Glycaemic index.
